Restless Night
In silent pitch black darkness
Here I am in the middle of nowhere
Staring straight up, wondering
When time will start to fly
I feel a bit like Abraham,
A thousand promises in hand
And God is showing me the stars
But I don’t understand
Is it the wrong timing for these waking dreams
It’s like a long restless night without sleep
Like a restless night
And all the others don’t get lost,
With there maps of tomorrow
I’m still catching up, catching rides
To find today
And it seems my futures dressed in gray
Standing in the pouring rain
Would I recognize it if it stared me in the face
And though the road lies bare before me
I know there’s a finish line
I will run, I will run, I will run, and I will run
I won’t worry in the mean time
